Peter D. Finch – Founder, President, and Chief Financial Officer

Peter D. Finch is the co-inventor of the Xcaper Smoke Filter.  For over 30 years Mr. Finch has been an entrepreneur successfully starting and building businesses in a variety of industries. 

In 1978, after leaving Arthur Young & Company where he was the West Coast Regional Director of Computer Auditing, he started an accounting firm which to this day continues to provide business and tax advice to small and medium size businesses.  In 1990 he commenced work on developing an effective and inexpensive smoke filter.  In 1994 he founded Xcaper Industries, LLC and continued smoke filter research and development that culminated in 1999 with the invention of the Xcaper moist filter.

Peter holds an accounting Degree from San Diego State University and also attended UCLA.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.  Prior to graduating from college Peter served in the United States Army where he rose to the rank of Captain in the Special Forces while serving two tours of duty in South East Asia.  Peter has two grown children and is actively involved in tennis where he competes as a ranked senior tennis player.

Barry Hall – Chief Executive Officer

Barry Hall has nearly 30 years of business experience that combines a strong financial background with a deep knowledge and practice of general management.  He has been a CEO, COO or CFO for a variety of publicly and privately traded Internet, high technology, and telecommunications companies. 

Among the companies that Barry worked for prior to joining Xcaper are EarthLink, Inc. where he was the Chief Financial Officer and led its IPO and CalAmp Corp where he served Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  While at CalAmp he developed and directed the overall business strategy and marketing plan that turned this publicly held manufacturer of satellite television and wireless cable amplifiers from near bankruptcy to the #10 small corporation in the United States (Business Week, May 24, 1993). 

Barry holds an MBA and a BA in Mathematics, both earned at San Diego State University.  In between earning those degrees he served in the United States Marine Corps as a tank platoon commander and was selected for the rank of Captain prior to his discharge. He is married with twin daughters.

Ivan Uriarte – Operations Manager

Ivan Uriarte has worked for a number of manufacturing companies in a variety of industries including electronics, machinery, and plastic molding. He also has a strong background in warehousing and distribution.

Ivan attended Irvine Valley College and is married with a newborn son.

Peter B. Finch – Quality and Marketing Manager

Peter B. Finch has worked at Xcaper for seven years in a variety of positions including accounting, warehouse and marketing.  He currently focuses his efforts on directing the quality system at Xcaper and is also responsible for maintaining the Xcaper Website.

Peter currently attends California State University, Long Beach and is scheduled to graduate in May 2008 with a degree in Accounting.

Rahul Patel – Customer Service Manager

Rahul Patel has a background in counseling and education.  Prior to joining Xcaper he worked as an Assistant Director of a YMCA youth camp.  He also was a student teacher at Loara High School in Anaheim, California. 

Rahul holds a Masters Degree in Education from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine.
